Volvo Cars is proud to continue its 25-year partnership with The Ocean Race, one of the ultimate challenges in ocean racing. We’re committed to protecting people and planet. Leaving lighter footprints. Giving something back. Building electrified cars for the road ahead. We owe it to the ocean.

We have so much to thank the ocean for. But we also owe it a lot in return.

Our ambition

To create a bigger voice for ocean health and ocean rights. 

In 2024 we extended the partnership with The Ocean Race, with focus on our joint mission on ocean health. We aim to work together to help further scale global efforts to restore and protect important maritime ecosystems and use the power of sport and people to inspire and advocate for change that results in a healthier ocean.

The ultimate ocean marathon

The Ocean Race is often described as the longest and toughest professional sporting event in the world. The concept is simple: a round-the-clock pursuit of competitive edge and the ultimate ocean marathon, pitting the sport’s best sailors against each other across the world’s toughest waters.

The Ocean Race Europe 2025

The Ocean Race Europe is underway between August 6th and September 21st. Our pop-up Volvo Studios in select European stopover cities will offer experiential games, activities for the whole family, and fully-electric vehicles with optional test drives. Join us at the Ocean Live Parks to discover our exhibits and learn about our sustainability ambitions.
