There are different ways to enter and start your car with a digital key. This depends on the type of equipment level your car has and the capability of your phone or smartwatch. You can find a summary of different keys and features, depending on your chosen equipment level, in the table below.

The three different equipment levels you can choose from when you order your car.
Digital key
A digital key that allows for active entry, active start, and other smart services.
Digital key plus
A plus version of the digital key that allows for passive entry, passive start, and other smart services.
Active entry and active start
You can lock and unlock the doors manually by holding your phone or smartwatch with a digital key on the car's exterior key reader. The exterior key reader is located on the pillar between the front and rear doors on the driver's side.
To start driving the car, you simply place your phone or smartwatch with a digital key on the interior key reader.
Passive entry and passive start
A feature that allows the car to recognise your phone or smartwatch and automatically unlock the doors when you approach it. The car can also automatically lock the doors when you leave it. Additionally, as part of the feature, you can unlock the car by pulling the driver's door handle if it hasn't sensed your approach. You will be able to enable and disable passive entry via your phone and the car's centre display.
To start driving the car, simply ensure your phone or smartwatch with a digital key is present in the car's passenger compartment.
