Locking and unlocking
The car can be locked and unlocked in several different ways.
The options are:
- with the key's buttons
- using the detachable key blade (if the battery in the key is discharged)
- keyless* (Passive Entry), which requires that a key is within range
- from the inside of the car using the locking controls in the doors
- remote door unlock (RDU) with Volvo On Call*
- automatic locking when the car is driven.
Note
In the event of an accident, the car unlocks all doors for safety reasons.
