The combined driver and centre display amplifies this feeling. It's a free-standing touchscreen tablet that puts driving information in your field of vision and controls at your fingertips without compromising the cockpit’s sophisticated simplicity.

The front seats in the EX30 offer the same comfort and safety as our larger cars. They’re ergonomic to help reduce pressure and shoulder strain. The driver’s seat also has 12 power-operated settings to customise your position. Even with all these features, the front seats maintain a slim profile for more legroom in the back. Want your seat a little toastier? Choose from three heating levels on the centre display. Use the Volvo EX30 app to warm it automatically when temperatures drop below 7°C.

Buttons on the left control driver support functions like cruise control and Pilot Assist. There's also a customisable button to control your favourite function from the wheel. Passenger seats in the EX30 are designed to deliver the same ergonomic comfort and safety standards as our larger cars. We've slimmed down the front seats to add more legroom in the back. And to make the whole cabin feel cohesive, the front seats are fully upholstered with the same fabric all the way around.

Pop your drink in one of the two retractable cupholders in the centre console. Push the cupholder frame back to reveal storage for small items. Tuck the cupholders away when you don't need them. A storage box at the back of the console gives rear passengers somewhere to stow their things. It's removable for easy cleaning and if you want to use it outside the SUV. There's floor-level storage below the console for bags or takeaways and large door pockets that help keep cabin clutter down. They're extra big because the audio system speakers sit in the soundbar on the dashboard.

The fixed panoramic roof spans the SUV's width, extending from the edge of the windscreen to behind the rear seats. This floods the cabin with natural light to create a sense of airy openness. The tinted glass is coated to minimise glare and reduce the need for a sunshade. It blocks approximately 80 per cent of the sun's heat radiation, which helps keep the cabin cool on sunny days.

Store two devices in a dedicated spot under the centre display. It easily fits larger phones. At higher equipment levels, this spot also features a quick wireless charging pad. There are up to four USB-C ports in the cabin for device charging. Rear seat passengers can slip their phones into pouches in the map pockets.

Themes use nature-inspired hues to transform door panels, door pockets and front seat storage with gently shifting illumination. Activate ambient sound to deepen the immersion.
