Connecting the Volvo Cars app to your wallbox

You can connect the Volvo Cars app to your wallbox, even as a non-Volvo owner. This allows you to access all of the available charging functions for your wallbox.

 Note

If you have an EX30, you won't be able to connect the Volvo EX30 app with the wallbox. Instead, you'll have to download the Volvo Cars app. This also applies to non-Volvo owners.

The Volvo Cars app is available for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch as well as Android phones and Android tablets. You can download it for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play. The app is updated regularly, so make sure that you have the latest version on your phone.

The minimum software version required on your device to use the Volvo Cars app is:

  • iOS 16.4
  • Android 8.0

You'll need to have your access letter for this step. If you've lost or misplaced the letter, contact Volvo support.

If you are a non-Volvo car owner, you have to create a Volvo ID to log in to the Volvo Cars app and connect the app to your wallbox. Press Create Volvo ID when you open the app and follow the instructions.
  • For all Volvo cars except EX30: Press the profile tab Px-2037-VOC app icon Profile > Add a wallbox > Scan the QR code and follow the instructions.
  • For EX30 and non-Volvo cars: On the welcome screen press Add a wallbox > Scan the QR code and follow the instructions.
The wallbox can now be managed from the Volvo Cars app.

If you can't scan the QR code, select Enter manually and enter the serial number and PUK code listed on your access letter.
