Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA)

Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) is a driver support feature that can help you avoid unintentional speeding. With ISA, your car can alert you with a sound or through adaptive pedal response1 when you exceed the speed limit on a road with a known speed limit. These responses can help nudge you down to the allowed speed limit.

 Note

Your car is designed to meet the requirements of the European Union's Intelligent Speed Assistance regulation. The purpose of the regulation is to make driving safer by requiring features that encourage staying within the speed limit.

If you overspeed on a road with an identified speed limit, the car can warn you of this with a sound alert along with a flashing speed limit symbol in the driver display2. The duration and number of replays of the sound alerts depend on your driving behaviour. The alerts stop once you slow down. You can temporarily deactivate the alerts using the left-hand side steering wheel button3.

Activating adaptive pedal response

You can replace the warning sound with adaptive pedal response in the centre display for all cars except EX30.

Follow these steps for EX90 cars:
