The key tag works at a distance to lock, unlock and start the vehicle, but it can also be used in the same way as a key card.

If the vehicle doesn't detect your key tag, it may be due to signal interference or low battery. In that case, you can still use it like a key card. Place it on the driver's door pillar with the logo facing towards you to lock or unlock the vehicle.

To start your vehicle using the key tag, just keep it with you inside the vehicle.

 Important

If your key tag has a discharged battery or suffers signal interference, you can put it on the wireless charger and the vehicle will be ready to drive. This is because the wireless charger also works as a card reader by using NFC1. Keep this in mind if you leave the vehicle momentarily unattended, especially if there are occupants in the vehicle.

 Note

You can replace the key tag battery. It uses a CR2450 battery.

Be aware that the signals between the key and the vehicle can be affected by obstacles or interference from other signals.

If you are in close proximity to the vehicle for long periods of time without opening the driver's door, there might be a delay when you try to open or unlock the vehicle using the driver's door handle. If the vehicle doesn't immediately unlock or open, this is normal. Just wait a few seconds and try again.
