Adjusting second row seats

You can adjust the second row seats, either to make your seat feel more comfortable or to free up more space behind the seat.

Both the position of the seat and the tilt of the backrest can be set individually for each seat.

 Warning

Never adjust the seats while the car is moving. Sudden braking or turning can make you lose control of the seat and risk injury.

Put the gear selector in P to prevent the gear selector from being inadvertently moved.

 Important

Child restraints

Never adjust the seat if there is a child restraint installed on it that uses either the lower or top tether anchorage points to secure it. This can damage the child restraint or loosen the tethers keeping it fixed in place.

Pinch risk

Take extra care when adjusting the seat position if the seat behind it has a passenger sitting in it or a child restraint installed on it.

Adjusting seat position

Handle under the seat
Grasp and pull the handle under the seat cushion upwards.
Slide the seat forwards or backwards to your preferred position.
Release the handle.
The seat locks into place.

Adjusting backrest tilt

Handle on the side of the seat cushion
Pull and hold the handle on the side of the seat upwards to unlock backrest movement.
Lean forwards or backwards in the seat.
The backrest follows your movement.
Release the handle when you've reached your preferred position.
Press against the backrest until it locks.

 Important

After adjusting, folding or raising a seat, make sure all parts of the seat are properly locked in place.
