Activating off-road

Activating off-road enables your car's hill descent control, allowing for a more controlled and active braking during downhill driving.

Hill descent control1 can be useful if you are driving downhill as it allows your car to brake in a more controlled and active way to help you avoid unwanted acceleration. Along with more controlled braking, HDC changes the feel of the accelerator pedal to improve control and traction on slippery surfaces.

 Note

If off-road is deactivated while driving on a steep downhill gradient, the automatic braking effect will gradually decrease.

The off-road feature is only available at speeds below 40 km/h (25 mph). Driving at higher speeds automatically disables the feature.

Press the car symbol in the bottom bar and go to Settings.
Go to DrivingDriving dynamicsOff-road.
Turn off-road on or off.

 Note

Off-road and one pedal drive

When off-road is active, one pedal drive is disabled and cannot be adjusted in settings.

Intended use

The off-road feature is not designed to be used on public roads.
