Passive arming alarm
The alarm can be enabled even if the car is not locked. The following only applies if your car is equipped with the passive arming feature.
Passive arming
The passive arming feature is active by default.
The alarm will arm if:
- there are no occupants detected in the car
- the doors have been closed for more than 90 seconds.
You can double-check that this feature is active via the Disable passive arming for 72 h setting in the centre display.
Disable passive arming
The passive alarm function can be temporarily disabled via the centre display by selecting the passive arming setting. This disables the passive alarm for 72 hours, after which time the passive arming function is automatically restored. If passive arming is disabled, the alarm will only arm if the car is locked.
