The curb weight includes the driver, the fuel tank's weight when it is 90% filled, and all oils and fluids.
The weight of passengers, all installed accessories and tongue weight (with attached trailer) affect the load capacity and are not included in the curb weight.
Max. permitted load = Total weight - Curb weight.
Note
The documented curb weight applies to vehicles in the basic version – i.e. a vehicle with no extra equipment or accessories. This means that each added option reduces the vehicle's load capacity by the weight of the accessory.
Examples of options that reduce the load capacity are different equipment levels plus other options such as towbar, load carriers, roof box, audio system, auxiliary lights, GPS, fuel-driven heater, steel cargo grid, mats, cargo compartment cover, power seats, etc.
Weighing the vehicle is a sure way to find out the curb weight of your particular vehicle.
Warning
Max. load: See vehicle registration card.
Max. roof load: 75 kg.
