You can start a booking by selecting it in the Volvo On Call app and then tapping on Start.
Once you have started a booking, you have access to certain Volvo On Call functions. Among other things, you can see the car's position on a map and give the command to honk the horn and flash the lights, making it easier to find the car if, for example, if it is parked in a large car park. You also use the app to unlock the car by tapping on Unlock and following the instructions.
The car is started and driven using a Care Key, which must be located in the car. If there is no Care Key in the car, it will not be possible to start and drive it. While driving, you can use the key as usual. You can also take it with you when you leave the car, e.g. after parking it.
In the app, you can see the deadline for the car's return. When you are ready to finish your booking, get out of the car and tap Return. Carefully read the instructions in the app and select OK, return and lock the car. Note that you will no longer be able to unlock or drive the car once you have returned it.
If the car owner has the driving journal activated, you and the owner get a booking summary of the drive that can be opened in the app.
