Guest users who wish to use the car send a booking request, which you must approve before a booking can be created and started. You are notified any time a booking request is sent to you. Tap on the notice to manage the request or manage it with the app.
Select which booking request to manage or tap on the notification to access the booking request directly.
Choose whether to accept or reject the booking request.
If you choose to accept, confirm the booking by identifying yourself using the phone's unlock method, e.g. PIN code, password, pattern, TouchID or FaceID.
In the app, you can see details and information about the booking.
You can also create a booking for a guest user who is already linked to your Volvo.
Select which guest to create a booking for.
Select the Create booking option.
Select date and time interval for the booking and tap on Create booking.
There is a limit to how far in advance a booking can be created. This is because the car may enter sleep mode if it has not been used for a long time.
You can choose to revoke approval for a booking at any time up until the guest has begun the booking. If a guest has forgotten to end a booking, you can end it yourself after the booking time has ended. You can view and manage upcoming, ongoing and past bookings in the app. If you have the driving journal activated, you receive a summary of the drive once a booking has been completed by a guest.
Note
For a guest user to be able to start and drive, there must be a Care Key in the car. Place the key somewhere out of sight from the outside of the car, e.g. in the armrest between the car's front seats.
