Downloading, updating and uninstalling the Volvo Cars in-car app

You can download, update and uninstall the Volvo Cars in-car app when the car is connected to the internet.

The app is managed via Download Center in the center display.

To download, update or uninstall the app, the car must be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or the car's built-in modem.

Downloading the app

Press the physical home button below the center display.
Swipe from right to left1 across the screen to access the app view.
Open the app Download Center.
Tap New apps.
Press Volvo Cars app.
Press Install to start the download and installation.
The status of the download and installation is shown while in progress. If a download can't be started, a message is displayed and you can try to start the download again.

Canceling a download

Only a download can be canceled. Installation cannot be canceled once it has begun.
Press Abort to cancel a download in progress.

Updating the app

If you use the app while an update is in progress, it will automatically restart to complete the update.

Press the physical home button below the center display.
Swipe from right to left1 across the screen to access the app view.
Open the app Download Center.
Tap Application updates.
Press Volvo Cars app.
Tap Install.

Uninstalling the app

Press the physical home button below the center display.
Swipe from right to left1 across the screen to access the app view.
Open the app Download Center.
Tap Application updates.
Press Volvo Cars app.
Tap Uninstall.
When the app has been uninstalled, it disappears from the list.
