Folding up the integrated child seat

The integrated child seats are part of the outer rear seat cushions and need to be folded up before use.

Folding up the child seat to the first level

The release handle on the front of the center seat

Pull the handle on the front of the seat cushion to release the lock.

Push down on the child seat until you hear a click.
The child seat locks into place.

Folding up the child seat to the second level

Unlock button
Press the button above the handle.
The child seat releases from its locked position.
Locking the child seat at the higher level
Lift the child seat upwards by the front end and push it back against the backrest.
The child seat locks into place at the second level.

 Note

It's not possible to go directly from the higher second level down to the lower first level. Instead, first completely fold the child seat down. Then fold it up to the first level.

 Warning

DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur

  • Follow all instructions on this child restraint and in the vehicle's owner's manual.
  • Make sure the booster cushion is securely locked before the child is seated.
  • Use this booster cushion only with children whose height and weight are within the permitted limits shown in the table.
  • Use only the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt system when restraining the child in this booster cushion.
  • If a collision occurs while the integrated booster cushion is occupied, the entire booster cushion and seat belt must be replaced. The booster cushion should also be replaced if it is badly worn or damaged in any way. This work should be performed by a trained and qualified Volvo service technician only.
