To use the remote functions in the Volvo Cars app, the car requires a subscription for connected services. Your subscription includes emergency assistance, security services and app services.
Subscription status
You can see the status of your subscription for connected services in the Volvo Cars app. Go to the profile tab > Subscription.
If you don't have access to the Volvo Cars app, contact your Volvo dealer. You will need to have the car's vehicle identification number (VIN) ready.
Extending or renewing your subscription
For information on how to extend or renew your subscription, see Extending or renewing your subscription for connected services.
Note
When the subscription period has expired, you will receive a message in your car's display saying On Call deactivated 1.
You will not be able to use the remote functions in the Volvo Cars app once your subscription has expired. However, the emergency services via the SOS button and automatic collision alert will continue to work for cars with Internet connection.
