The lifting areas to use with workshop equipment are positioned at the outer corners of the battery tray. They are just behind the common jacking points, close to the ribbed area.
Important
It is very important to place the workshop jack on the vehicle's lifting areas, or the battery may get damaged.
If you're using a workshop jack, make sure that the jack plate is fitted with a rubber guard to protect the vehicle as well as to ensure that the vehicle remains stable.
If using lifting equipment not supplied by Volvo, carefully read the instructions before raising the vehicle. Ensure that the equipment is compatible with the vehicle.
Note
Remember to activate jack mode before raising the vehicle off the ground.
