Problems with Plug & Charge

If you experience problems with Plug & Charge, there are some steps you can take yourself before contacting Volvo support for further help.

Activating Plug & Charge

Before you can charge your car at a charging station that supports Plug & Charge, you need to activate the function with an e-mobility service provider and in the car's center display.

Plug & Charge

Plug & Charge is an authentication and billing system that simplifies your charging experience. Charging stations that support Plug & Charge identify your car and its associated payment method as soon as you connect the charging cable to your car. This allows for charging to automatically start without the use of additional cards, apps or any other authentication methods.
