Connect to Internet
There are two ways of connecting to the Internet with Sensus Connected Touch:
Wi-Fi connection from mobile phone
Make sure that the phone supports Internet sharing (tethering) and that the function is activated. This function is called “tethering” on iPhone and “personal hotspot” in Android. Follow the instructions on the Sensus Connected Touch screen.
Connection via a 3G/4G dongle
A portable modem (dongle) connected via a USB port gives you a more stable connection to the Internet. If you are connected via a dongle, you can create a Wi-Fi network in the car using Sensus Connected Touch. This will then allow several people to use the Internet.
Compatible mobile phones
Mobile phones that can share Wi-Fi (iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Windows phones).
Safety
Sensus Connected Touch is not connected to the safety functions in the car and does not affect any safety systems if the system is subjected to a virus attack.
3G/4G coverage not available
If you are in a place where there is no 3G/4G coverage, the connection is moved to the GSM network instead. This may affect functionality.
The Internet connection is interrupted or dropped
If the Internet connection is temporarily disrupted, Sensus Connected Touch will buffer and music apps playing online will continue to work. If the Internet connection is disrupted for any length of time, you will lose your connection.
You can continue to play music via an SD card or via USB even if the connection is lost. That said, weather information will not be updated and you will not be able to receive traffic information, e-mail or new map data or use Asteroid Market.
Apps affected if the Internet connection is disrupted:
- LiveRadio
- Browser
- Spotify
- TuneIn
- Maps
- Asteroid market
- Deezer
- E-mail (you can read and write e-mail, but not receive or send)
- Weather application
- iGo connected traffic information will be interrupted.
- Movie clips
Apps not affected if the Internet connection is disrupted:
- iGo
- Service
- Calculator
- Video In
- Gallery
- Line In

It is possible to install Sensus Connected Touch for model year 2014 and later, but not for cars equipped with Sensus Connect.
