沃尔沃汽车 app is an application software provided by Volvo Cars (including but not limited to Volvo Car Distribution (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, etc., hereinafter referred to as “Volvo” “we” or “us”) that connects to your Volvo car and provides related services. 1. Business functions and the personal information processed
In order to provide you with the following services, we may need to collect, use, share and store your personal information.
- When you choose one-click login/registration, based on our cooperation with communication operators, with your consent, the operators will send us your mobile number.
- When you register a Volvo ID, according to laws and regulations, we need to collect your mobile number (as Volvo ID), name and market (country or region), language, password, verification code. Volvo uses a two-way confirmation procedure for registration. For example, the registration is only considered complete after you confirm your registration by entering the SMS verification code, checking the box, among others.

- When you pair your vehicle to enjoy corresponding benefits, we need to collect your ID card number/ photo of vehicle license/ photo of the purchase invoice to identify you and complete the pairing of the vehicle.
- When you change the binding of the vehicle with its paired user, we need to collect your photo of vehicle license, photo of hand-hold ID card.
- In order to issue lifetime maintenance benefits to you as the first car owner, we will issue the benefits to you after confirming your identity as first car owner. We will collect your name, ID card number, license plate number, and vehicle identification number (VIN) to confirm your identity as first car owner.
- To remind platinum card users of the Volvo Cars App to claim their birthday benefits, we will use your name, mobile number and date of birth to send you an SMS reminder.
- When you decide to leave contact information, we will collect your mobile number. Our dedicated consultant will contact you as soon as we receive your personal information.
- When you select the vehicle, you may add the selected vehicle to your wish list. You can click the checkbox on the screen to allow our dedicated consultant to call you for further information about the vehicle.
- When you choose to use the maintenance appointment service, we need to collect your type of service, dealer’s name, service appointment time, name of the person who will deliver the vehicle, and phone number of the person who will deliver the vehicle. You may choose to provide the name of the after-sales advisor and the method of picking up and delivering the vehicle. When carrying out maintenance service, we or our entrusted service providers may view and use data relating to your vehicle and specific features/services to check and record failure issues and maintenance condition.
- When you choose to use the roadside assistance service, we need to collect your contact person’s name, contact person’s number, vehicle location information, type of assistance to confirm your address and provide you with assistance.
- When you choose to use the home-to-home pick-up and delivery service, we need to collect your pick-up location, pick-up time, name of the delivery dealer, contact person’s name, and contact person’s number to confirm your address and contact information and provide you with the home-to-home pick-up and delivery service.
- When you use the vehicle remote upgrade service (OTA) to upgrade the system or software in your car, we will collect your vehicle identification number (VIN), vehicle configuration information, vehicle software information, vehicle function information, part serial numbers, vehicle status, battery power, upgrade time and upgrade progress information to start the vehicle remote upgrade service.
- When you choose to use the charging post search, scan code charging, and plug-and-charge functions in the charging station map function, we need to collect your mobile phone location information, search content, vehicle identification number (VIN), Volvo ID and coupon/benefit ID to be able to easily show you charging stations near your destination or confirm whether you have charging privileges and arrange charging or plug-and-charge services for you.
- If you choose to charge your car at a charging station marked as "Low Carbon Emission Reduction", we will show you a low carbon emission reduction certificate based on the name of your charging station, the amount of charging and the amount of carbon dioxide reduction.
- When you choose to install the home charging post service, bind the home charging post and apply for home charging post warranty, we need to collect contact person’s name, contact person’s number, the region for installation, detailed address, and installation date charging post code, address, error description, and photos so that we could confirm your address and provide you with corresponding services.

- In order to provide you with the online car purchase and invoicing service, we need to collect your name, mobile number, car purchase method, car purchase type, city of car order, store of car order, store of car pickup, buyer’s name, buyer’s phone number, ID type, ID number.
- If you choose to use and renew remote functions, we need to collect identifiers (including your first and last name, mobile number, email address, vehicle identification number (VIN), unique device identifier and notification push token) and purchase history (duration of ownership, all subscriptions you have registered for, model and year of the vehicle and corresponding vehicle specifications), your vehicle location information and mobile phone location information.

- If you would like to reserve a new car and pay deposit (specific applicable models are subject to actual sales conditions), we need to collect buyer’s name, buyer’s mobile number verification code, car reservation city and car reservation store.
- When you choose to view the subscription details of the Digital Service Pack service, we need to collect your vehicle identification number (VIN), mobile number and time for real name verification of your vehicle SIM card.
- When you choose to participate in our Volvo Membership Day, we need to collect your name, cell phone number and shipping address.

- When you use community commenting, content sharing services and the service comment feature, we need to collect your nicknames, member ID, followers, likes, comments, fans, and records of your postings, favorites, interactions, and use of the community forums. Please note that the content you share may contain your personal information and please carefully consider disclosing your personal information.
- When you choose to sign up for an online or offline activity organized by us or a third-party online platform we work with, depending on the nature of the activity, we may collect your personal information and we may share that information with third parties who provide corresponding services.

5. Storage of personal information
We will store your personal information for the period required to provide services, but if the laws and regulations provide otherwise, you agree to let us store it for a longer period, for the purpose of dispute resolution or if it is technically difficult to delete personal information. In addition, after the expiration of the storage period, you agree that the storage period shall be reasonably extended in accordance with the law and the agreement.

As Volvo Car Group operates its daily business through affiliates and information systems around the world, after obtaining your separate consent, your personal information may be transferred to Volvo Car Group affiliates and cooperative third-party service providers outside China, or accessed by overseas receivers. 8. Your rights
You can access, rectify, copy, transfer, and delete your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and administrative regulations. You can also withdraw consent, cancel your account, be informed in advance of the suspension of operation of products and services, and obtain an explanation on the processing of personal information. You can exercise the aforementioned rights according to IV. How You Access and Manage Your Personal Information of the Privacy Notice, and we will respond within 15 business days in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations, unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations. A. Necessary collection and use of personal information
The following functions are core business functions of Volvo Cars services. When you use the following functions of Volvo Cars services, you may need to provide us or allow us to collect certain necessary personal information. If you refuse to provide certain personal information, you may not be able to access the corresponding core services, but it will not affect your normal use of other functions or services. Specific information is collected and used as follows.
- When you choose one-click login/registration, based on our cooperation with communication operators, with your consent, the operators will send your mobile number to us, so that we can provide you with fast login service.
- When you register as a user of the 沃尔沃汽车 app, you need to register a Volvo ID. You may need to provide us or allow us to collect necessary information, including mobile number (as Volvo ID), name and market (country or region), language, password, verification code for Volvo ID registration. Volvo uses a two-way confirmation procedure for registration. For example, the registration is only considered complete after you confirm your registration by entering the SMS verification code, checking the box, among others. Once you have registered your Volvo ID in the 沃尔沃汽车 app, we will simultaneously register your account of Volvo Cars Volvo World mini-program. If you have already registered your 沃尔沃汽车 app account, we will perform the binding of your Volvo ID to your account of Volvo Cars Volvo World mini-program.
- When you login to the 沃尔沃汽车 app, you need to provide us or allow us to collect the necessary information including mobile number and login password, so that we can use it to identify you and enable login for you. For former email registered users, now you need to change your login method to 沃尔沃汽车 app from email to mobile number, when you choose to change your login method, you need to provide us or allow us to collect the necessary information including email account and password, market (country or region), mobile number, which we use to identify you and change your login method to mobile number login for you.
- When you pair your vehicle to enjoy corresponding benefits, you can choose to pair your vehicle through your ID card (only applicable to owners who purchased the vehicle after October 1, 2017) / vehicle license / purchase invoice. - When you need to change the binding of the vehicle with its paired user, we need to collect your driving license photo and hand-hold ID card photo. We will verify your identity. When we confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle, we will complete the change of the binding vehicle with its paired user. If you refuse to provide us with your driving license photo and hand-hold ID card photo, we will not be able to verify your identity to confirm if you are the owner of the vehicle.
- In order to issue lifetime maintenance benefits to you as the first car owner, we need you to perform first car owner verification annually so that we can confirm your first car owner identity and issue benefits to you. You need to provide us or allow us to collect the necessary information including name, ID number, license plate number, and vehicle identification number (VIN). If you refuse to provide us with your ID number, we will not be able to confirm your identity as first car owner to issue benefits to you.
- To remind Volvo Cars App users to claim birthday benefits, we will use your name, mobile number and date of birth to send you an SMS reminder.
- When you browse official articles, use the 360-car-viewing service, or browse Volvo-related content through other channels, you may decide to leave contact information to understand more about our information. In this process, you need to provide us or allow us to collect your mobile number. Our dedicated consultant will contact you as soon as possible after receiving your personal information.
- When you select the vehicle, you may add the selected vehicle to your wish list. You can click the checkbox on the screen to allow our dedicated consultant to call you for further information about the vehicle.

- When you choose to use the home-to-home pick-up and delivery service, you need to provide us or allow us to collect the necessary information, including the pick-up location, pick-up time, name of the delivery dealer, contact person’s name, and contact person’s number, which we use to confirm your address and contact information and to provide you with the home to home pick-up and delivery service.
- When you use the vehicle remote upgrade service (OTA) for system or software upgrade in your car, we will collect your vehicle identification number (VIN), vehicle configuration information, vehicle software information, vehicle function information, part serial number, vehicle status, battery power, upgrade time, upgrade progress and other information. This type of information is used to identify the current version of the vehicle system and the corresponding upgraded version and provide the system to determine whether the current network status can support the vehicle system upgrade. After turning on the vehicle remote upgrade service, software updates will be automatically downloaded to your Volvo vehicle wirelessly and remotely, providing you with new features and software improvements. When the update is downloaded and ready for installation, you will receive a notification in your Volvo Cars app and in your car. You can turn off the remote upgrade service at any time in the privacy settings of the mobile app.
- When you choose to use the charging post search, scan code charging, and plug-and-charge functions in the charging station map function, you need to provide us or allow us to collect the necessary information, including mobile phone location information, search content, vehicle identification number (VIN), Volvo ID and coupon/benefit ID to be able to easily show you charging stations near your destination or confirm whether you have charging privileges and arrange charging or plug-and-charge services for you. You can stop us from collecting information related to your real-time location by opting out of the charging station map function. If you do not allow us to collect mobile phone location information, we could not obtain your location to show you nearby charging stations and provide complete charging station map service.
- If you choose to charge your car at a charging station marked as “Low Carbon Emission Reduction”, we will show you a low carbon emission reduction certificate based on the name of your charging station, the amount of charging and the amount of carbon dioxide reduction.
- When you choose to install the home charging post service, you need to provide us or allow us to collect the necessary information, including the contact person’s name, contact person’s number, the region for installation, detailed address, and installation date so that we can confirm your address and provide you with the home charging post installation service. When you pair a home charging pile, the necessary information you need to provide us with, or allow us to collect, is the code of your charging pile, so that we can confirm the pairing status of the charging pile and complete the pairing of the charging pile for you. If you have any after-sales questions in the process of using the home charging pile and if you choose to apply for a warranty through Volvo Cars App, you need to provide us or allow us to collect your name, mobile number, address, error description, and photos so that our entrusted service provider could understand your maintenance requirements and further contact you.
- When you use the one-touch charging service, you need to provide us or allow us to collect the necessary information, including usage rights, contact person’s name, contact person’s number, address, service type, andservice appointment timeso that we can confirm your address, and ensure that our officer arrives at the pick-up location to provide you with a charging service.
- When you charge at our designated charging stations, you can enjoy the benefits of the parking fee reduction we provide for you. In order to facilitate your enjoyment of such benefits, you need to provide us or allow us to collect your license plate number, and we will provide your license plate number to the corresponding charging station, and the charging station will provide your license plate number to the parking lot.
- When you charge with a public charging pile, we need to collect your order number for fees settlement.
- In order to provide you with replacement and additional purchase service so that you will own a new car, for the replacement service, you need to provide us or allow us to collect your name, mobile number, current car model, region, intended replacement car model, intended dealer; For the additional purchase service, you need to provide us or allow us to collect your name, mobile number, intended car model, intended dealer. - When you provide the vehicle matching function for your relatives and friends, we need to collect your and your relatives and friends' Volvo ID, mobile phone number, and vehicle identification number (VIN code) to help your relatives and friends remotely control your vehicle through their Volvo mobile APP. Please ensure that you have informed your relatives and friends of the relevant situation and obtained their consent.

- When you use the electronic fence function, you need to provide us or allow us to collect your vehicle location information, mobile phone location information, device identification information, current application information, device parameters and system information (system attributes, device model, operating system, etc.), vehicle Identification Number (VIN), and the range of the electronic fence. If you do not allow us to collect your vehicle location information and mobile phone location information, we will not be able to obtain your vehicle location and mobile phone location information to provide you with the electronic fence function.
- When you choose to use the Official Second-hand Car function, you need to provide us or allow us to collect your province, city, mobile number and vehicle model in use, which we use to assist you in making an appointment for seeing the car or provide you with a free valuation or vehicle buy-back service. - When you choose to view the subscription details of Digital Service Pack service, you will need to provide us or allow us to collect your vehicle identification number (VIN), mobile number and time for real name verification of your vehicle SIM card.

- If you want to join the Life Miracle Club, we need to collect your name, mobile phone number, location, accident model, accident description, accident appraisal certificate, accident scene and driving license photos etc. We will review your application as soon as possible after you submit it. - In the "Car Details" page, you can choose to provide your car’s nickname, purchase time, license plate number, and add other vehicles under the vehicle details option.
C. Personal information we collect indirectly
We will receive your personal information and other information from communication operators, affiliated companies, vehicle dealers, vehicle manufacturers, agents, partners and other trusted third-party suppliers as required by laws or regulations or as authorized by you, based on our legitimate need to provide you with products/services or to improve the quality, experience and security of our products and services, and will use your personal information in accordance with your agreement with the third party or this Privacy Notice.
D. Other instructions for use
Since the vehicle control related notification information (such as vehicle unlocking, vehicle alarm, vehicle charging, DHU update, etc.) of the Volvo Cars App is pushed by Baidu Push SDK, its self-start function must be used to ensure that you will be able to receive such notification even when Volvo Cars App is shut down or running in the back-end. To avoid the delay caused by cold start, there also exists a certain frequency that push will be sent through the system to wake up Volvo Cars App’s self-start or associated start behavior, through which important reminders or notifications can be delivered to you in time.
As Volvo Cars App one-click login/registration service is provided by the Alibaba Cloud Phone Number Verification Service SDK, Alibaba Cloud Computing Co. Ltd. will collect your SIM card information in advance to determine the operator you belong to.
We may compile statistics on the use of our products and/or services and may share these statistics with the public or third parties to demonstrate overall usage trends for our products and/or services. These statistics, however, do not contain any identifying information about you.
We may use the personal information collected in accordance with this Privacy Notice to research, processing, training, count, analysis, and prediction. We improve the quality of our services, promote user experience, provide reference for business decisions, develop new products, and strengthen product security through research, analysis, and prediction. We may aggregate and analyze the personal information collected in accordance with this Privacy Notice to analyze or predict your personal characteristics, such as personal preferences and behavior, and eventually form a model of your personal characteristics. Please note that we do not currently use your model of characteristics for personalized push, but only for our internal data analysis.
E. Device permission call
When you use the 沃尔沃汽车 app, we may need to invoke some of your device permissions in order to collect the appropriate personal information and provide you with the corresponding business function or service. If you do not authorize this, we will not be able to provide the relevant business function or service. After the permission is turned on, you can turn off the corresponding permission at any time by going to the “Mobile-System Settings” of your mobile device, and the corresponding product functions may not be used normally after the permission is turned off. We attach great importance to personal information security and take all reasonably practical measures to protect your personal information.
1. Technical measures for data security
- We will adopt security precautions that meet industry standards, including developing reasonable systems, norms, and adopting security technologies to prevent unauthorized access, use, modification, damage or loss of your personal information.

In order to deal with the potential risks such as leakage, damage and loss of personal information, Volvo has established various rules and regulations, specifying the criteria for classifying and grading security incidents and security vulnerabilities as well as corresponding handling procedures. B. Storage of your personal information

After the above-mentioned period of storage of personal information is exceeded, we will delete or anonymize the personal information. C. Right to deletion
You may make a request to us to delete personal information in the following cases:

- If our processing purpose has been achieved, cannot be achieved, or is no longer necessary to achieve the processing purpose;
