EX90
Removing your car from the Volvo Cars app
Before selling or returning your car, make sure to remove the car in the Volvo Cars app. When you do this, all related data will be deleted from both the app and the car. Any connected drivers will also be removed.
If you are an invited driver, you can remove your own app access to the car by following the same steps.
Applicable models
EX90, model year 2025 and later
All cars with Google built-in except EX90
Ending ownership through the Volvo Cars app
By ending ownership of the car, all connections to the car and all profiles in the car are removed.
Note
Unpairing a phone from the car
By unpairing a phone, you will remove the connection between your car and the phone. You can unpair the phone either via the Volvo Cars app or via the car's centre display. Users with administrator privileges can view and unpair all phones connected with the car. Other users can only view and unpair their own phone.
Performing a factory reset
If you have a pre-owned car and the previous user has not removed their profiles and devices are still paired, a factory reset is recommended.
Read about reinstalling and pairing the Volvo Cars app in a separate article.
