Two-factor authentication in the Volvo Cars/Volvo EX30 app

To protect your Volvo ID account from unauthorized users, two-factor authentication is required when logging in to the Volvo Cars/Volvo EX30 app. When you log in, you'll receive a one-time pin code via the e-mail address or phone number1 associated with your Volvo ID. Enter this code to verify your identity and gain access to the app.

Issues with Two-factor authentication

 Note

You may experience that you get automatically logged out from the app frequently and have to authenticate yourself each time you log back in. This is a temporary issue that will be resolved and you won't need to contact Volvo support for assistance.
Here are some common issues and their solutions with two-factor authentication:
  • If you've forgotten your Volvo ID username or password, see Issues related to Volvo ID for information on what to do next.
  • If you didn't receive an e-mail or SMS1 with the pin code, you can resend it by pressing Resend pin. Also, check your spam folder if your Volvo ID username is an e-mail address.
