This document describes how Volvo Cars (as defined below) processes your personal data when using CCTV cameras for surveillance on and in connection to our premises (hereinafter “camera surveillance”).

1. Who we are
The entity responsible for the processing of personal data in relation to the camera surveillance is Volvo Car Corporation, having its registered office at Assar Gabrielssons väg, 405 31, Göteborg, Sweden, company registration number 556074-3089, hereinafter referred to as “Volvo Cars”, “we”, or “us”.
2. What personal data we collect and why
We collect and use camera surveillance images and video recordings because it is our legitimate interest (GDPR Art 6.1.f) to safeguard our property, business operations and the security of our personnel as well as the general public visiting our facilities.
3. How long we keep your data
The CCTV camera recordings will be kept for a maximum of 30 days from the data of recording. In the case where we have reasons to believe that a crime has occurred, the recordings will be stored and used as long as is needed for the investigation to be finalized by law enforcement. When we are conducting internal policy breach investigations, the the recordings will be stored and used as long as is needed for the investigation and any external legal process to be completed and finalized.
After end of the above provided retention times, the recordings will be deleted.
4. Who we share your personal data with
We will share your personal data with the following categories of third parties, on a need-to-know basis:
- Our processors supporting our activity in general, such as providers of IT solutions;
- Our processors supporting delivering the camera surveillance, which are limited by contract in their ability to use your personal data for any purpose other than to provide services for us in compliance with each data processing agreement in place:
- Safeteam (Sweden) – Camera installation and support.
- Securitas (EU) – Guard service management.
5. Your rights in relation to the data processing we perform
You have specific legal rights granted by the General Data Protection Regulation relating to the personal data we process about you. You can withdraw your consent or object to our processing of your data, access the data we hold about you, ask for rectification or restriction of your data, request to have your data ported to another entity, request that we delete your data, and finally you can file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
