Troubleshooting

Issues related to Volvo ID

Common issues related to Volvo ID, along with solutions, are described here.

Restarting the centre display

If the centre display's response is slow, it might help to restart the display. A restart may also fix the problem if you are experiencing issues with e.g. Bluetooth, navigation or connectivity.

Problems when charging via charging box

In some cases, the charging of your car doesn't start when you have set the charging timers in the charging box. This problem occurs when you are using a charging box with smart charging functionality that isn't compatible with your car.

Connectivity issues

A symbol visible in the top left corner of the centre display shows the car's connectivity status. If there is a problem, there are a few things you can try to restore the connectivity.

Apple Wallet opens when the EX30 wireless phone charger is used

Many phones are equipped with NFC, which is a wireless communication technology that enables data transfers between devices. If you have an iPhone that supports NFC, using the wireless phone charger may automatically open Apple Wallet.

Google Maps information about charging connectors for EX30

There is a known issue when searching for charging stations in Google Maps where it says that type 2 connectors aren't compatible with your EX30. This is nothing to worry about. Type 2 charging works with your car.

Limitation of the distance-capable EX30 key tag

If a distance-capable EX30 key tag is in close proximity to the parked car for a longer period of time, the connection between the key tag and the car will go into standby mode. The reason behind this is to avoid unauthorised access to the car and to preserve battery lifetime.
