The following instructions might be helpful for issues such as:
Sound notifications remain active
- The sound notification alerts, such as parking sensors and seatbelt warnings, continue even after they are supposed to be silent.
Centre display screen is frozen or rebooting
- The centre display freezes, which affects sound from the radio, speakers, direction indicators and parking sensors.
No sound
- There is no sound from the radio, turn indicators, navigation or park assist.
Solution
Allow the car to go into sleep mode (it will enter sleep mode after 30 minutes).
The centre display should start working properly again.
On rare occasions, the centre display will remain active when the car is locked but it will turn off after approximately 30 minutes.
Volume adjustment
The volume control knob doesn’t change the volume level even though the scroll bar appears in the centre display and seems to respond.
Solution
Temporarily switch to another media source and then switch back. The volume control knob should work again.
Voice control
Voice control works if no phone has been paired with the car, but stops working when you pair your phone.
Solution
If any of your phone's contact names contain emojis or special characters, it's difficult for the car to do a phonetic translation of the names. Remove emojis or special characters from your contacts.
Factory reset
If you continue to experience issues with the Sensus infotainment system, it is possible to perform a factory reset of the centre display. However, this means that all of the settings in the car need to be reset again, including reconnecting any phones. Consult the user manual for the complete steps of the reset.
