Keyless locking and unlocking

The car's keyless locking and unlocking system allows you to lock and unlock the car by interacting with touch-sensitive areas on the door handles.

To use the keyless function, you just need to carry your key with you. As long as the key is within your car's detection range and it has a sufficient battery level, you can lock and unlock the car by interacting with the different touch-sensitive areas on the door handles.

 Important

Keyless locking and unlocking can be triggered when you wash your car if a key is in range.

Keyless locking

When carrying your key, you can lock the car by touching the small indentation on the outer part of the door handle.

To lock the boot hatch without using a key, you can use the locking button on the lower edge of the hatch. If you press this button, the car will lock once the boot is closed.

It's also possible to lock the doors while the boot hatch is still open. Once you've locked the rest of the car using the door handle, the boot hatch will lock too once it's closed.

 Note

Make sure that there's no key left in the boot when you close the hatch. If the car detects a key inside the car, the boot won't lock.

 Tip

Closing the windows with keyless locking

You can close all of the side windows and the panoramic roof at the same time by holding a finger against the indentation on the outside of the door handle.

Keyless unlocking

With keyless unlocking, your car unlocks automatically when you pull the door handle while carrying your key.

There is also a rubberised button under the boot hatch's handle which you can press to unlock the car.

 Note

Make sure to only touch one of the touch-sensitive areas on the door handle at a time, either the one for locking or the one for unlocking. If you grip the handle while touching the lock surface, the keyless function might not work properly.
