Safety and driver assistance features
Park more confidently with a 360° view of your EC40. Four cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors combine to give you a complete picture of your SUV to increase the visibility of objects outside your car.
Reverse with confidence supported by a cross traffic alert. Whether you have a limited rear view or not, the system can detect vehicles crossing behind your EC40 and apply the brakes if necessary.
Stress less about lane changes. When a vehicle enters your blind spot, the EC40 can alert you via a light in the left or right door mirror and, if needed, help steer your car back into your lane.
Your EC40 can help you stay in your lane when you unintentionally drift. It can send subtle vibrations through the steering wheel and steer your SUV safely back inside the lane.
Your EC40 is designed to help detect and avoid other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and large animals day or night. The SUV will first warn you if there’s a risk of collision. If you don’t react in time, the car can steer and brake the car.
To help keep passengers safe and the battery intact in the event of a collision, the EC40 carries a unique safety structure. The battery is protected by a safety cage consisting of an extruded aluminium frame embedded in the middle of the car’s body structure.

Detection systems are dependent on objects being illuminated and require the vehicle’s front and rear lights to be working when it is dark. Driver remains responsible for safe driving at all times.
