The Volvo Cars app gives you convenient control over charging. By simply using your smartphone, you can start and stop charging, schedule charging at times that suit you best, check charging status, manage wallbox access, see charging history and much more. The wallbox is weatherproof according to IP55 rating and can be installed outdoors as well as indoors. The charger’s high capacity (up to 22 kW) and advanced technology make sure it’s compatible with future generations of electric Volvo cars and future energy offers. The wallbox communicates with cloud services to stay up to date with the latest software. It connects via WiFi, a SIM-card reader and Ethernet cable. By supplementing the wallbox with our dedicated real-time energy meter you optimise charging efficiency without risking overloading your home’s electrical system.
