Note
It's important that a certified electrician activates your wallbox account and configures your wallbox. If for some reason an electrician mounted the wallbox without completing these steps, you will need to do this yourself. Contact Volvo support if you need assistance.
You can also change any settings that you applied when activating your wallbox account.
Opening the wallbox web app
To log in to your wallbox account, you first need to open the wallbox web app. Make sure your wallbox is on.
Open your device's camera and scan the QR code on the access letter.
A link will be displayed on your device's camera.
Press the link to connect to the wallbox network > Join.
Your device is now connected to the wallbox.
Open a browser on the device and enter the wallbox's hostname as mentioned on the access letter, in the format https://hostname.local. If the wallbox's hostname isn't recognised, enter the default IP instead of the hostname: 10.0.2.1.
You will be warned that the connection is not private. This is only a browser limitation and is nothing to worry about.
Press on the hostname or press enter > Show details > Visit this website > Visit website. If you're using a laptop, you also need to press Advanced > Accept the Risk and Continue1.
Once you've opened the web app you need to log in using the service user password on the access letter. If you've changed the password log in using that instead.
Connecting to Wi-Fi and LTE
- Wi-Fi: Press the menu symbol > Connections > WiFi > select your home network > enter the password and press Connect WiFi > after a few seconds a Change applied message will appear.
- LTE: Press the menu symbol > Connections > LTE > under APN name write connect.cxn and press Connecting an LTE.
Your wallbox should now be successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network and LTE.
Checking for active errors in the wallbox
The final step is to check for any errors or faults that may have occurred during the installation process. After a successful installation there shouldn't be any errors, but if there are, follow the steps below.
Press the menu symbol > System information > Error list.
If there are errors listed, press the error name for more details and contact Volvo support.
If you need to contact Volvo support, you'll need to have your Electronic Rating Plate information. This can be found under System information > Rating plate.
