Connecting the app to the car allows you to control certain functions and interact with your car via your phone. The app will guide you through a few required steps in the app and in the car's display.
Before you connect the app to your car, you should complete the setup process described in Setting up your EX30.
Connecting the app to the car
The car must be connected to the internet. If your car doesn't have a mobile internet connection, you can temporarily connect the car to your phone's hotspot or any other Wi-Fi network via the car's display.
Sit in the driver's seat with your phone.
Log in to the Volvo EX30 app and go to the home
tab.

Select Connect your Volvo and follow the instructions in the app and the car's display.
Note
When a QR code is shown in the car's display, you need to allow the Volvo EX30 app access to your phone's camera. If you select Don't allow, you will not be able to scan the QR code. You can allow access to your camera at a later time in your phone's settings.
Note
If you don't see a QR code during the connecting process, select My profile is already set up in the Volvo EX30 app and follow the instructions.
