Replacing a fuse
You need to replace a blown fuse to restore full functionality to the car's electrical system. Contact Volvo support if you are uncertain on how it should be done.
Warning
Risk of damaging electrical components
- Never insert a foreign object instead of a fuse.
- Always use the same type and amperage when replacing a fuse.
- Volvo recommends an authorised Volvo workshop for all fuse replacements which are not clearly described in the user manual.
Tip
In some fuse boxes, there are spare fuses and special pliers to help. There might also be a diagram of the fuse placement available in the fuse box lid.
Find the placement of the fuse you need to change. Check the fuse box information in this user manual to see which fuse is connected to the feature that is not working.
Locate the fuse in your car with the help of the diagram and number of the relevant fuse.
Replace the blown fuse with a new one of the same type and amperage.
