Operating the panoramic roof
You can open and close the panoramic roof and the sun blind to control how much air or sunlight you let in.
You can operate the panoramic roof and the sun blind using the touch-sensitive control in the overhead console.
By touching or swiping over the control in different ways you can:
- open and close the sun blind
- tilt the front part of the panoramic roof to open it in the vent position
- retract the panoramic roof partially or fully
- close the panoramic roof.
Note
- Remember to remove ice and snow before opening the panoramic roof. Take care not to scratch surfaces or damage trims.
- At very low temperatures, the panoramic roof might freeze in place and you won't be able to operate it.

Closing the sun blind automatically
You can turn on Auto-close sunroof curtain in settings to make the sun blind close automatically 15 minutes after the car has been locked. This helps ensure a comfortable passenger compartment temperature and protects the car's upholstery from fading in the sun.

- Make sure you have a clear view of the panoramic roof when operating it.
- Do not allow children to play with the panoramic roof controls.
- Never leave children alone in the car.
- Always turn the car off and take the key with you when leaving the car.
- Never put an object or body part through an open window or panoramic roof, even if the car's electrical system is fully disconnected.
- Do not open the panoramic roof when load carriers are fitted.
- Do not place any heavy objects on the panoramic roof.
Note
If pinch protection for the panoramic roof isn't working properly, contact an authorised Volvo workshop.
