Manually releasing the charging cable

If there is a problem with the key, you can use the detachable key blade to unlock the car and stop charging.
Unlock the car using the key blade.
Open the door and deactivate the alarm1.

When inside the car, unlock the car by pressing the unlock button on the driver door.

Charging is stopped.
Unplug the charging cable.

If the charging cable still doesn’t release, repeat steps 2 and 3. If the problem persists, contact an authorised Volvo workshop.
