Remote starting climate control using the Volvo Cars app

You can use the Volvo Cars app to remote-start the climate control in order to adjust passenger compartment temperature prior to departure.

 Note

Available functions in the Volvo Cars app can vary depending on car model, model year and region. Available functions may also vary over time.

Climate function for EX90

Go to the Px-2037-VOC app icon Home tab and press the Px-2417-VC app climate icon icon.
Start the climate control by pressing Start.
The function will run for up to 12 hours.
Select the heat intensity level for the seats or steering wheel.
Choose a target temperature for the car.

 Note

If you've activated Keep climate active from the centre display, you won't be able to change the settings for seat or steering wheel heat, or car temperature in the app. To change the climate settings in the app again, press Stop and start over.

Setting the timer for climate control

A timer can be set so that the climate control starts automatically in order to adjust the passenger compartment's temperature prior to departure. There is the option to set up to 8 different timers. Each timer can be set by selecting time and day of the week, as well as whether the setting should be repeated weekly.

Climate function for fully electric cars except EX90

Go to the Px-2037-VOC app icon Home tab and press the Px-2417-VC app climate icon icon.
Start the climate control by pressing Start.
The function will run for 30 minutes.

Climate function for plug-in hybrids

Go to the Px-2037-VOC app icon Home tab and press the Px-2417-VC app climate icon icon.
Start the climate control by pressing Start.
For cars in category A the function will run for 50 minutes. For cars in categories B and C the function will run for 30 minutes.1

  • Category A1: It is possible to set two timers within the coming 24 hours.
  • Category B1: There is the option to set up to 8 different timers. Each timer can be set by selecting time, date, day of the week, as well as whether the setting should be repeated weekly.
  • Category C1: There is the option to set up to 8 different timers. Each timer can be set by selecting time and day of the week, as well as whether the setting should be repeated weekly.

Other climate settings

For cars in category A and B you can select whether driver seat, passenger seat, and steering wheel2 heating should be activated in the climate function's settings.

For cars in category C driver seat, passenger seat, and steering wheel2 heating are automatically activated during cold weather.

Climate function for cars with internal combustion engine

If the car is equipped with the climate package, you can start the climate control in order to heat the passenger compartment prior to departure.

Go to the Px-2037-VOC app icon Home tab and press the Px-2417-VC app climate icon icon.
Start the climate control by pressing Start.
For cars in category A the function will run for 50 minutes. For cars in categories B and C the function will run for 30 minutes.1

Other climate settings

For cars in category A and B you can select whether driver seat, passenger seat, and steering wheel2 heating should be activated in the climate function's settings.

For cars in category C driver seat, passenger seat, and steering wheel2 heating are automatically activated during cold weather.
