Activating child lock

You can activate and deactivate the child lock using the standard key's detachable key blade.

 Important

When driving with children in the rear seats, check that the rear doors are secured with an active child lock.

The child lock can increase passenger safety in the rear seats. When you activate the child lock on one of the rear doors, the passengers in the rear seats won't be able to open it.

The driver maintains control over the windows, and the car can be opened from the outside if it is unlocked.

Activating child lock

Open the rear door that you would like to lock manually.

Locate the keyhole on the inside edge of the door.

 Note

Turning the key blade only controls the child lock for that particular door, not both doors.
Insert the standard key's detachable key blade into the keyhole and turn the key blade so that the handle is pointing in towards the seats.
The child lock is active.

You can deactivate the child lock by following the same steps you took to activate it.
