Volvo in collaboration with the Eden Project is proud to offer you the chance to win a one-year family Membership to the Eden Project plus a one-month fully electric Volvo car loan.

1. The “Promoter”: Volvo Car UK Ltd, Scandinavia House, Norreys Drive, Maidenhead SL6 4FL (“VCUK”).

2. The ‘Spring Eden Project Family Membership & Volvo Car Loan Competition’ is subject to the following conditions and is open only to UK residents who are 25 years or over.

3. The “Prize” is one Eden Project Joint Family Membership, a private guided tour of the Eden Project and a one-month fully electric Volvo Car Loan. The Family Eden Project Membership grants free entry to the Eden Project, exclusive access to talks and courses and member discounts for one year. The membership allows 2 members from the same address, plus 1 family guest each and up to 3 children in total per visit (aged 5-16). One Private Guided Tour will be supplied as part of the prize. The tour is available for up to eight people and can be taken within the year that the Joint family membership is valid for. The Private Guided Tour will need to be booked a minimum of seven days in advance and is subject to guide availability.
The Prize does not include travel, fuel, accommodation, subsistence or any other extra activities at the Eden Project.

4. To enter the competition, entrants must take the following steps using their Instagram account:
- Like the ‘WIN A one year family membership to the Eden Project’ post which is featured on @volvocaruk and @edenprojectcornwall Instagram grids as a co-author post.
- Follow @volvocaruk and @edenprojectcornwall accounts on Instagram.
- Tag someone the entrant knows in the comments of the giveaway post who would also love the chance to win. Each separate comment with a different tagged user counts as an additional entry into the giveaway.
As a bonus entry, entrants can share the giveaway post to their Instagram story. Private users must screenshot this and send the screenshot to @volvocaruk via a direct message on Instagram. This counts as an additional entry into the giveaway. Entrants who do not choose to do this, but who have completed all required steps will still be entered into the giveaway. Entrants will be automatically entered into the draw once they have completed all required steps. Participants will not be entered into the draw if they do not complete all required entry steps.
Please note that this giveaway is run on Instagram only, and excludes likes, shares or other activity on Facebook and other platforms.

5. Entries will be open from 18:00 BST Monday 14th April 2025 and will be accepted up until 23:59 BST Monday 21st April 2025 (the “Competition Deadline”). Entries made after this point will not be counted.

6. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions and agreeing that you are eligible to claim any prize you may win.

7. There will be 1 winner of the giveaway who will be selected on Tuesday 22nd April 2025 at random. A panel of VCUK employees will review all entries after the Competition Deadline and check that the entry has fulfilled the criteria stated in point 4 above. A random name generator will then be used to select the winner to ensure a fair process. The decision of the panel will be final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

8. VCUK will send a direct message via Instagram to the chosen winner notifying them of the win. The winner will need to provide their contact phone number and their email address to the VCUK @volvocaruk Instagram account via a direct message in response. By accepting the Prize, the winner consents to their email and phone number being shared with the Eden Project.
Please be aware of scam accounts. We will contact the winner via @volvocaruk Instagram account and never ask you to share any financial information.

9. Should there be no response from the winner within 24 hours, a new winner will be selected and notified, and the same process will be repeated until there is a confirmed winner for the prize.

10. Prize Redemption Instructions,
-To redeem the Eden Project Joint Family Membership, the Eden Project Membership team will contact the winner via email members@edenproject.com or phone call 01726 811932 and provide them with a gift voucher that can be activated via the Eden Project website. The Membership will be valid from the date of activation for one calendar year. The Eden Project team will provide instructions to activate the voucher. The winner will also be able to organise the private guided tour of the Eden Project with the Eden Project Membership team.

-To redeem the one-month Volvo car loan, the winner will be contacted by the Volvo Car UK team via email, where car delivery and collection will be organised. This is subject to the winner complying with the Volvo Car Loan Terms (from point 21 below).

11. No liability is accepted for submissions that are lost or not received. No liability is accepted in the event there is no response to telephone calls, direct messages or e-mails when contacting a chosen winner.

12. By law, VCUK must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact VCUK. In such circumstances, VCUK must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

13. The prize is non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.

14. VCUK reserves the right to exclude any entries which it believes to be inappropriate, fraudulent, or based on misconduct.

15. You agree that VCUK may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website, social media and any other media and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant VCUK a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes.

16. This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram. By participating in this prize competition, you agree to a complete release of Instagram, or any other social media platforms, from any claims relating to the prize competition.

17. VCUK will not accept liability for minors left unattended at the Eden Project.

18. Prize winners are responsible for their own property (including clothing, umbrellas, child seats etc.) at the Eden Project - please ensure it is always kept safe. VCUK accepts no responsibility for loss or theft of, or damage to property except if caused by VCUK's negligence.

19. VCUK shall not be held responsible for any cancellation of any part of the prize, event or activities, which may be due to circumstances outside its control, including - but not limited to - sickness, adverse weather conditions or Covid-19 factors. There will be no alternative offer in respect of any such cancellation.

20. VCUK, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of VCUK, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

21. As part of the prize, a fully electric Volvo car is being offered as a loan for one-month. Car delivery and collection details will be arranged with the winner.

22. The VCUK motor insurance policy for the loan car is third party only. Personal effects and clothing carried in the car are not covered under the VCUK motor insurance policy.

23. All drivers of the loan car must be at least 25 years of age, have a valid driving licence and will be subject to the following restrictions under VCUK’s car insurance:
-Over 25 years unlimited up to a maximum age of 75 years unless a letter is received from the doctor stating the ability to drive.

24. All driving licences must be valid for insurance purposes and up to date (i.e. correct address, points removed where they are no longer valid and must be a full licence, not provisional).

25. All drivers will be expected to send their driving licence for inspection before receiving the loan car. Failure to do so may prevent you from using a loan car for the Event.

26. It is the sole responsibility of the driver of the loan car to notify VCUK, if they have acquired 6 or more penalty points, are banned from driving or received a DD (dangerous driving offence), DR (drink or drug related driving offences) or IN (driving without insurance). This does not necessarily exclude you from the Event and wherever possible we will endeavour to extend the motor insurance policy.

27. Child seats will not be provided. Please ensure that you provide and fit your own child restraints applicable to approved height restrictions.

28. No smoking is permitted in the car.

29. The driver hereby declares that he or she is in good health, their eyesight is of the standard required for the UK road driving test and that they are not suffering any illness or disability which may make it unsafe for them to drive.

30. The driver accepts that he or she shall be solely responsible for any decision as to their fitness to drive and that if at any point they are not fit to do so, then they shall cease driving immediately. The driver confirms that at all times when he or she is in charge of the loan car, they are not over the current UK legal limit for driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs that may affect their ability to drive.

31. The driver will at all times during driving, operate the car with reasonable care and hereby agrees to indemnify fully VCUK, their representatives, agents and servants against any action or claims for damages (including costs) which may be brought against it, and or its representatives, agents and servants arising out of any negligent, reckless or irresponsible driving on the part of the driver.

32. VCUK will at all times endeavour to make sure that all cars supplied, whether by it or by any other organisation or individual, will at all times be safe and in roadworthy conditions.

33. The driver will inspect the car on collection and confirms that should he or she have any cause for concern as to the roadworthiness or safety of the car, they will bring the matter immediately to the attention of a Volvo representative.

34. Car collection details will be agreed with the winner. The car should be in the same condition as it was received. The driver agrees to be liable for the cost of any damage to the car and will compensate VCUK for any delay in returning the car after the specified date.

35. The driver will sign any documentation required pertaining to the loan of the car and agree to any separate terms & conditions of the car loan.

36. VCUK reserves the right to terminate any drivers’ involvement in the Volvo car loan prize at any time and for any reason.

37. VCUK, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of VCUK, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

38. It is the winner’s responsibility to declare any tax liability to HM Revenue and Customs.

39. Winners may be required to participate in related publicity without further reward. E.g. be photographed for website/newspaper stories, provide a short statement about their win.

40. VCUK will only process your personal information as set out in the Volvo Privacy Policy https://www.volvocars.com/uk/legal/privacy/privacy-customer-privacy-policy .

41. VCUK reserves the right to withdraw or amend without notice this prize competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside of its reasonable control.

42. VCUK reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

43. These terms and conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
