When using the key tag's NFC capability, make sure the Volvo logo is facing towards you.

If the car does not detect your key tag when you are in the car, then the car won't lock when you leave.

 Important

If your key tag has a flat battery or suffers signal interference, you can place it on the wireless charger and the car will be ready to drive. Be aware that the signals between the key and the car can be affected by obstacles or interference from other signals.

 Note

You can replace the key tag battery, it uses a CR2450 battery.

If you are in close proximity to the car for long periods of time without opening the driver door, there might be a delay when you try to open or unlock the car using the driver door handle. If the car doesn't immediately unlock or open, this is normal. Just wait a few seconds and try again.
