Subscription for connected services

To use the remote functions in the Volvo Cars app, the car requires a subscription for connected services.

Your subscription for connected services includes security and app services.

Subscription status

You can see the status of your subscription in the Volvo Cars app. Go to the car tab Px-2037-VOC app icon Car > Active services.

Extending or renewing your subscription

For information on how to extend or renew your subscription, see:

 Note

If you renew your subscription for connected services after it has expired, you may need to activate the remote functions in the Volvo Cars app again. To use the functions without interruption, it's recommended to extend your subscription before it expires. Contact Volvo support if you need help with renewing your subscription.

You will not be able to use the remote functions in the Volvo Cars app once your subscription has expired. However, the emergency services via the SOS button and automatic collision alert will continue to work for cars with internet connection.

 Note

Automatic collision notifications are only available for cars with internet connection and will stop working for certain cars after 2G and 3G have been phased out. This affects cars that do not have Google built-in. Certain cars of model year 2017-2024 may have internet connection after a software update. Cars with model year 2016 and earlier will lose all connected services.
