Prioritising between Volvo On Call* service centre and emergency call centre
In cars with Volvo On Call1, it is possible to set whether the car should contact a Volvo On Call service centre or the public emergency call centre when the automatic collision alarm is triggered or when the SOS button is pressed.
The car's factory setting is to primarily contact a Volvo On Call service centre.

Different types of information are transferred when contact is made with a Volvo On Call service centre, which helps the emergency call centre operator to send the right assistance as soon as possible. If contact with the service centre cannot be established, the car makes direct contact the public emergency call centre.
In the setting for contacting the public emergency call centre, the same amount of information is not sent. If contact cannot be established, no call is made to the Volvo On Call service centre.
