Pairing the Volvo Cars app with the car
Before pairing the Volvo Cars app with the car, your Volvo ID needs to be connected to the owner profile. This will be done by Volvo Cars when you buy or lease a car directly from them. If you buy the car from a retailer, they should help you set this up. If you're not connected to the car through a Volvo Cars ordering process or via a retailer, you need to connect your Volvo ID to the owner profile yourself.
Make sure to follow the instructions that apply to your situation.
- You'll first be asked to register as the car's owner (this may not necessarily refer to the legal owner).
- Next, you'll be asked to log in with your Volvo ID. This will connect your Volvo ID to the profile.
If you have an owner profile, you can now share Volvo Cars app access to your car with other drivers. See .

- See Performing a factory reset of a pre-owned car for more information.
