Luminous sculpted decor
Keep nature close with the Topography decor. Inspired by the mountainous landscape of Sweden’s Abisko National Park, these panels use sculpted layers of perforated material. When the decor is backlit, it takes on three dimensions and fills the cabin with a soothing glow.

Follow your routines and indulge your impulses without cluttering the cabin. You'll find hooks, holders and compartments to store what you always bring along and what you just can't pass up. We've even relocated speakers from door panels to give you and your passengers big pockets for bulky items like water bottles and laptops. And we've done it without diminishing the high-quality surround sound available in the EX40.
Convenient cargo spaces
Pack for your wants and needs with an EX40. We’ve designed the SUV with a large trunk, and by pushing the inner wheel arches out of your way, it’s spacious and wide. Stow more in the trunk’s underfloor cargo space or the compact storage compartment under the hood. The trunk is designed for convenience, too. It has a flat floor that stays flat when you fold down the rear backrests to expand carrying capacity. A no-lip landing makes it easier to load bulky items. And a motion-operated tailgate lets you open the trunk when your hands are full. Simply kick your foot under the rear bumper and load up.
Large panoramic roof
Feel connected to the world outside and each other in the EX40. The large panoramic roof creates an open, airy atmosphere that invites relaxation and conversation. All with the sun and stars right overhead. Close the power-operated sunshade to reduce glare on bright days. When the temperature hits 25°C, your parked EX40 will close the sunshade automatically. Ventilate the cabin by opening the roof's front section. Tilt it to just refresh the cabin air. And because we can all be forgetful when life is a lot, you can close the panoramic roof after you've walked away using your key fob.
