Drivers of compatible fully electric Volvo cars now have access to more than 17,800 Direct Current (DC) fast chargers on the Tesla Supercharger Network.
Charging at a Tesla Supercharger is easy with the NACS Fast Charging Adapter. Simply connect the adapter to a compatible charger, plug into your vehicle, and enjoy all the benefits when you’re on the road. The NACS Fast Charging adapter can be purchased at your local Volvo Cars retailer. Adapters will begin shipping to Volvo retailers on November 18, 2024 and you can place an order with your retailer immediately.

Beginning November 18, 2024, compatible Tesla Supercharger stations can be found using Google Maps built into the vehicle or within the Volvo Cars app . When available, see real time information, including pricing and availability. With Google Maps, Tesla Supercharger stations will be added into your route for fast and efficient charging.
Paying for charging sessions on the Tesla Supercharger Network is easy within the Volvo Cars app. With a public charging account set up, you can see available stations, initiate a charging session, and handle payment with your credit card on file. 1. Locate a compatible charging station either from within your vehicle or the Volvo Cars app
2. Attach the adapter to the Tesla Supercharger connector
3. Remove the DC port cover on your vehicle’s charge port
4. Plug the adapter into your vehicle's charge port, ensuring you hear a click as it locks into place
5. Identify the station number of the Supercharger you are parked at and select that number within the Volvo Cars app
6. Tap “Start charging”
7. When complete, stop the session by unlocking the cable either from the Volvo Cars app, within the center display screen in your vehicle, or the button to the right of the charge port
8. Remove the adapter from the car by pressing down on the silver button on the top of the adapter.
9. Remove the adapter from the Supercharger cord by pressing down on the cable release tab found underneath where the cord attaches to the adapter
