If you have a pre-owned vehicle and the previous user has not removed their profiles and phones are still paired, a factory reset is recommended.
This article is applicable to models with Google built-in.
Note
A factory reset will remove any phones paired with your vehicle, reset the vehicle to factory values and remove all data and settings stored in the vehicle.
In the center display, swipe down from the top to reach the notification center.
Press the currently used profile icon in the top left of the display.
Select the owner profile (the first profile created).
Go to 
> System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset) > Factory reset.
> System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset) > Factory reset.The vehicle is now reset to the factory values. Follow the instructions in the center display to pair your phone with the vehicle.
