Internet map – route options

Route options enable you to specify the type of roads that your route will follow.

Route type

From Internet map's normal view, press OK/MENU and select Settings → Route options → Route type to display the options for route type.

Make a selection and confirm by pressing OK/MENU.

  • Fast with traffic adaption: the shortest travel time on roads with the fewest traffic tie-ups.
  • Fast: the shortest travel time is prioritized.
  • Short: the most direct route is prioritized. The route may include secondary roads.

Customize your route

From Internet map's normal view, press OK/MENU and select Settings → Route options to customize your route.

To select a route that avoids one or more of the options displayed, highlight the option and press OK/MENU.

  • Avoid highways
  • Avoid toll roads
  • Avoid tunnels
  • Avoid ferries
  • Avoid car trains

 Note

  • If a route has already been set when one or more of these alternatives are changed, there may be a slight delay in guidance as the system recalculates the route.
  • If the system has been set to avoid toll roads, highways, etc., roads of this type will only be used when there are no other alternatives.
