No confirmation message upon registration of a new account
If you didn't receive a confirmation message after registering your new account, check that the e-mail address you provided is correct. Additionally, check that the message hasn't been stopped by a spam filter. If everything looks good, try registering your account again.
Login failure after creating a new account
There may be delays in the process of creating your account. If so, your account will not be accessible immediately. Try to log in again after 24 hours. If the issue persists, contact Volvo support or your local Volvo dealer for further assistance.
Login failure after changing your username
Make sure you have received a confirmation message and activated your account. Once this has been done, you should be able to log in using your new username. If you didn't receive a confirmation message, your old username is probably still in use. Log in and change your username again.
Login failure after changing your password
Try to log in using your old password. If this doesn't work, change your password again.
Forgotten your username
If you're logged in to the Volvo Cars app, but are unsure of which phone number1 or e-mail address is registered to your Volvo ID:
The phone number1 or e-mail address is displayed.
Create a new Volvo ID.
Log in using your new Volvo ID in the Volvo Cars/Volvo EX30 app and pair it with your car.
Forgotten your password
If you've forgotten your password and have access to the e-mail account or phone number you provided as your username when creating your Volvo ID, you can easily reset it. If you can't access your provided e-mail account or phone number, see Recovering your Volvo ID when you've lost access to your e-mail or phone for more information.
Recovering your Volvo ID when you've lost access to your e-mail or phone
If you can’t access the e-mail account or phone number1 you provided as your username when creating your Volvo ID, you may be able to recover your Volvo ID account. For this to be possible, you need to meet the following requirements:
- You must have previously added an additional contact detail to your account as explained in Adding contact details for Volvo ID account recovery.
- You need to have access to the additional e-mail account or phone number you added.
- You need to remember your current Volvo ID username.
If you don't meet the requirements, you need to create a new Volvo ID account. See Creating a Volvo ID for more information.
When recovering your account, a verification code will be sent to your addiitonal contact detail to verify your Volvo ID.

Unlocking your Volvo ID
After five failed attempts to log in to the Volvo Cars/Volvo EX30 app, your account will be locked for 15 minutes. You can either unlock the account by resetting your password or try again after 15 minutes.
Relocating to another country
An account is registered to a specific country and cannot be transferred. If you want to reuse the same e-mail address, delete your current account and create a new one. Make sure to select the correct country during registration.
